The Range and Wilko owner CDS Superstores has reported record revenues of £1.7bn following its acquisition of Homebase, as the retail group continues to expand its store estate and digital operations.

Sales climbed 16.4 per cent to £1.714bn in the 52 weeks to 1 February 2026, an increase of £242m compared with the previous year.

The performance follows the group’s acquisition of the Homebase brand, website and rights to 53 stores after it collapsed into administration in November 2024.

CDS Superstores subsequently converted former Homebase locations into The Range superstores, expanding its presence across the UK while incorporating Homebase’s DIY and garden offering.

The latest figures build on the retailer’s performance in the previous financial year, when revenue rose 13.5 per cent to £1.47bn and the business returned to a pre-tax profit.

The group, owned by retail tycoon Chris Dawson, has been expanding its portfolio since acquiring the Wilko brand and intellectual property in 2023, following its collapse.

It has since relaunched Wilko’s ecommerce operations and continued opening stores under the brand, alongside the expansion of The Range.

The sales milestone comes as CDS Superstores pushes ahead with further investment in its retail estate and technology infrastructure.

In August, the group secured a £190m asset-backed revolving credit facility from Wells Fargo Capital Finance, alongside HSBC and Citi, to support its expansion plans.

The financing, more than double the size of its previous facility, is intended to fund new store openings, supply chain improvements and digital development.

It also recently extended its fulfilment partnership with THG Fulfil to support ecommerce operations across The Range, Wilko and Homebase.

The agreement forms part of its wider digital transformation strategy, which includes investment in artificial intelligence, online marketplaces and improvements to product availability.

CDS Superstores has also been rolling out new retail concepts across its portfolio, including Garden Centre by Homebase and Kitchens by Homebase, as it hopes to strengthen its position in the home and garden market.
